OBJECTIVE
Improve UX and reduce content debt through a holistic audit of one of the most impactful aspects of digital product content - dialogs.
Outcome
・ Improved UX and reduced content debt across the whole platform with a redesign stage of around only 2 months. ・Increased the quality and speed of design for dialog use going forward with documented guidelines. ・Brought a content-driven approach to the design system team that impacted design system projects going forward. ・Killed a lot of unnecessary dialogs, which generally makes for a better digital world.

What I did
Categorised all platform modals in to themes based on the goal CTA, step in user journey and level of criticality.
Improved UX across the platform by reconsidering the need and use of each dialog use case. Always asking: “Is there a less invasive, more intuitive and pleasant way of taking the user on the same content journey?”
Created a modal UX writing guide to improve and standardize how all dialogs with be formulated going forward.
Wrote and re-wrote all dialogues and dialogue-replacement designs for voice, tone and accessibility.
Closely collaborated with product and design system designers at each stage.
